Andy Bailey, Triathlete. Andy Bailey was training six days a week in December 2006 when he was disabled by a freak accident. While washing his car in the driveway, a delivery truck lost its brakes and struck him. Andy survived but, due to complications with injuries, doctors amputated his right leg 14 months later. Perviously, Andy had limited first hand knowledge of amputees, although he had participated in fundraisers for the Challenged Athletes Foundation. Now, Andy is getting ready to make a comeback to competition. He has been working with our Senior Trainer, Mike Catanzaro to regain core strength and the motor skills needed to run with his new prosthesis. read more .pdf
